Here's mine. Both Sambar Stag, from Eagle grips, late 70's vintage. Grips for the BH frame were $34.95, as marked on box.

Holy bat guano...............they now are running over ten times what I gave for them:shocked-2-small.jpg

In fact, today, they cost more than what I paid for the revolvers, back then.

Samber Stag grips are running in the neighborhood of $500

Knock off about $200 for American Elk antler grips.

Yup. I didnt pay 40-50$ for my Eagles back about 1989/90. I have a few for SA's and one on a 1911 that I dont have on a gun. I switched to all G10 couple years ago. I prefer that aggressive grip. But as we know a SA needs ta be smooth ta work as designed. So blk pearl ivory and stag are my preferred.

No stag or imitation here. All either original wood or G10.

No rubber other than the original rubber with wood inserts on the SRH and GP100.
Rubber is very utilitarian but I can’t get used to it.
I put rubber on the 624 I got from Rick but I went back to the stock wood.

I've found rubber best for cold weather hunting. More forgiving, temperature wise, than even wood. Learned that when hunting in Michigan. Even my bows were insulated with rubber.

The Python started off with the factory walnut target grips. They were too large for Cindy. Hence, the smaller stag. I also have the Presentation Pac's for it. They fall in between, size wise.

Get a little relief from this sciatica, I'll get some pics of the Colt SAA w/stag grips and the spare matching set (without rampant colt emblems) and a 1940s Randall knife and somewhere we have some fancy schmancy steak knives from '50s or '60s with stag handles.

I have some beautiful Ivorex grips on my Ruger Old Army ;)
...and I mounted a couple chunks of deer antler on a old western knife that "had" a deteriorated leather washer handle.

This is the discontinued pattern, that I collect. AKA, known as a Bulldog. Notice the bulldog etch on top knife. Bottom is a variation, without the etch. Collectable variations, include different etches, different shields, as well as, different stampings. then there are the different handle materials. In addition to stag handled variations. There are cow bone dyed in multiple colors, exotic woods, laminated woods, celluloids (multiple colors), pearl and abalone. Probably missed, a few, also.

If I told you how may I own, I'd have to kill you.
