With me it's the miles not the age. No that's wrong. Its both, but the mileage got there long ago. All of us older guys will tell you "old age isn't for wimps".

100%. NO ONE can help YOU till YOU allow them to.
I was (mostly am) same Until I had a Heart attack and I was no longer "incharge".

I was "out" almost 5mo. I was stuck VERY LIL MOVING for over 6weeks. KILLED ME! One day I decided I HAD TO get to my loading room. I nearly gave my wife a heart attack when she came home and I was lying on the matt in front of the washing machines cause after walking down one flight I didnt have the energy to move!!!

Take it easy. Catchup on old threads watch a movie or Utube.

Ian it is hard to acknowledge that we aren't able to do what we used to do. I am coming to grips with this statement myself.
An besides i DON'T want to loose a friend.

I went to out house fire once during my 10 yr VFD stint .
Plastic manhole covers melt and when they're black in the dark you can't see they aren't there ......... I didn't get any on my boots .
2020 has been kind of like that . I fell in a waste tank and stopped with one knee in my armpit . Next morning I had a bruise from just above mid thigh almost to my armpit opposite the one occupied by my knee . Could have been a mess if the turnouts hadn't saved the short ribs .

2020 has got nothing on June 18'-May19' she's darn sure giving it a golden run .

@Ian , sorry to hear about your health problems. I really hope you get well soon!
We all agreed I'm to work half-days until it's better
Very good idea. After a concussion, you actually need a bit of rest and recovery. It sometimes takes a while. Hard work in extreme heat is not the best activity in such a situation. Best wishes!

Oh, the knee. Might be a lube issue?

I do 30 cal rifle bullets, stood up. About half the time I carry the tray to the oven, I get a fall over and then the domino effect. So I made the rat wire (hardware cloth for the politically correct crowd) with 1/2" grid. I just cut it so I could bend over the 4 sides one grid which stood the grid up the 1/2". It actually works fine, I can scoot the bullets where they don't touch, and if I have a tip over, it doesn't take half the try with it!

I really hate that!!!, I do mine right next to the oven (same bench) for that very reason, the tall 30cal (190-200gn lee molds) they really suck for standing up lol have to look at the rack thing, CW said he uses a silicon tray for his, was going to look this weekend on amazon to see what I could find.

Couple yrs of tinkering and this is what works for me. Changed to the Yoshi copper mat, NSAF only lasts so many times. 45acp with bottom of holes reamed out.

Factory pistol ammo box trays. Place bullets in nose down and then place in baking pan with it tipped over and the flip it and pull the trays off before baking.

Works on most. Tall skinny bullets will have some fall over, but nit enough to matter.

CW has it on the nose... the mini silicone trays made my pc work so much smoother. On Amazon a 3 pack for 9.99

Also, I use a 5"x11"x1/16 of aluminum flat stock as a spatula to help support the trays going in and out of the oven.

With that combination even 22 cal bullets don't tip over anymore

Ok, which ones do you get for the 30 cal and maybe 22cal, I got 1 of them and it appears to fit the 45 great (just received Tuesday), only ones I am seeing with the smaller cavity have the rounded bottom, don't want that I don't think would stand very well or does that matter with these? I haven't tried it yet, be coating 45 and 308 this weekend so I can try out the new one. (I'm still old school - stand each one on end so don't know how/if the coat will smear when it melts or what, if its up against the side of this thing..) below is the one I got so far.1602235107256.png

9mm should be fine in this also, maybe 308 but the 308 are a lot taller so would like to use a smaller cavity and especially for the 22 cal but like I said I only saw the rounded bottom style in smaller forms or does it really matter? I am guessing these won't mar the paint like a metal tray would if they happen to fall over but don't know for sure yet, so asking.....

Mini ice cube trays are what I buy

they JUST FIT a 35 cal. So yours are bigger.
IMHO ya dont beed it for 45. They stand on there own most of the time. Same for most 35's.

32/20 stand OK but long 30's DONT & need something like these silly trays.

As always, your mileage may vary.
