Thanks. It's a small piece so not a lot of work involved. I did all the wainscotting and woodwork in our bathroom at our summer place with the same poly and it's held up well in what is a pretty damp environment.
I did the billy club that I made Christmas day using the same poly. Did not even need to use a hair dryer. Did the club end first and then just kinda shook it in the air. In a few minutes I could hold it by that end and do the handle end. Put two coats on it using that method. I did no fill the grain as it is going to spend its life hitting molds to release stubborn bullets. I think that if I had filled the grain and put a better finish on it, it would be too painful to strike molds with it.
