In high school I "skipped" the class the day I had to speak infront of the class.

Some short years later I learned it was simply immature foolish butterflies. Some short years later I owned a company where I was running to four different states to meet and build a business. Then closed that and opened another with a partner in construction. Again speaking with folks daily. Then it was teaching Pistol, Shotgun and Reloading classes couple times a month for up to 30 people. I have also been on a couple local TV shows as gun related information source. I also have a uTube channel and do regular live chats that cross the globe. I no longer have a issue with public speaking. I think allot of it is also simply age and life's experience. Its akin to talking to a pretty lady. Today she is just another friend I have yet to meet. Years ago... Deathly afeared of what I dont rightly remember. :embarrassed:;)

I've read some of the old speeches that people of note gave. Language can be a gift or a terrible thing, depending on how it's used. Some of the stuff that was said by politicians was so obviously garbage for the sheeple to feed on. Then you had guys like Lincoln or Churchill that were at another level altogether.

Paul Revere, T. Roosevelt, the list is long. Being able to visualize the outline clearly and fill in the details with the passion of the moment is a talent not unlike a musician soloing within the framework of a chord progression. Also like a musician, thinking steadily a few bars or sentences ahead allows the speaker time for proper phrasing and emphasis.

Years ago I took a public speaking course, put on by my employer at that time. The course concluded with having deliver a 15 minute speech on some mundane object such as a book of paper matches. The subject provided was handed to you just minutes prior to you taking center stage. Interesting time! The stuff I picked up was of great value in my last job prior to retirement where I had to write legal decisions that would be clear and concise for people with limited education and/or grasp of the English language but that would also stand up to Judicial Review if necessary.

Finally had a chance to shoot some .224 55g bullets I made, at 100 yrds doing about a 2"group, 2350fps average. These ended up weighting average 53.6g with gas check, using a mixture of wheel weight and printing press lynotype lead.
I'd be more than pleased with that!

At 2350 fps average, those were the best groups. I had them around 2460fps average but the groups started to open up.
