I bought this one today.
Should be fun experimenting with this round in a single shot.
Tell me what you think ? ?

Man, I bet the recoil on that will be brutal. :D

That should be a good shooter, and it looks like somebody has recut that crown, likely
a good thing. I have never recut a crown that was not off by quite a bit, amazingly.
If that is a factory crown, it looks like the cut it with a pilot, which is the right way, but
apparently not done too much for some reason.

Looks beautfully made.

Very cool that they mark the twist right on the lug.

It is unfired.
MGM barrels are pretty pricey.
I have many of the 9mm, Lee 105 SWC bullets.
I wonder how they would shoot with some B'Eye ?

Proabably like the mini-H&G 68 that they are, really well. That was my first bullet mold ever, in the
2 cav version and I ran it in a Browning HP and it was a great choice for an ignorant newbie. I sized
them to .356 out of ignorance, but they worked just fine anyway. Accurate, and I used B'eye with them.
Never bobbled and always accurate, cut a nice hole.

So MGM is a separate company making bbls for Contenders? I am not at all up on Contenders.

New or used unfired?

Ah, Match Grade Machine......OK, that explains the hand cut crown. Looks beautiful. Sounds like that should
be a real tack driver.

Finally, a sane twist in 9mm. I see Trevor has been consuming far too much ammo in the Ruger....

So that makes it a self-defense barrel, I guess. :)

Do they make an ejector version or only the extractor version?

I don't know.
This 9mm barrel extracts only.

I have a 45 ACP bull barrel that ejects.

Pinngggggg.............

The Model 37 Winchester will send an empty hull three cotton fields over, I can only imagine what a 9mm break-action with an ejector would do.

Don't get an ejector version for Trevor. ;)

Cool that some of them have ejectors, though. I guess that makes that the
"rapid fire gun fighting version" of the Contender in .45 ACP.

Keep him on the straight and narrow, and keep your ammo supply healthy.
My Rem #4 RB in .22 will eject well if you operate the block smartly.

My converted #4 will too, but the dadgum thing burns through ammo worse than a 10-22 with 30-round magazines. :)

Converted to what, Ian? Maybe .32 Center fire? I have see a fair number of them in .32 RF over
the years, 100% with sewer pipe bores, although that may be over generous on the condition of
many. Really about a wrecked as any I have ever seen.

Mine is a good condition one with original barrle and is a really good shooter. Just fun to work
with. Back when I could see, I huntes squirrels with it, one shot kills always, head shots. I have
done nickel size groups with it at 50 yds with some ammo. Other ammo, maybe an inch
at 50. I probably can't do that any more. :(

Mine was wrecked inside and out but all original, a .32 L/S rimfire. I Drilled the crust out and relined it to .22 LR. The takedown tenon was beyond repair from 100 years of abuse so I cut it off and re-shaped a new one with a file and jeweler's saw, but did it eccentric to lower the chamber enough that the firing pin would hit a .22 rim in the right place and no breech block modifications were necessary. I built the extractor up with my TiG and filed it to fit, then finished the rim cut with the rimfire reamer. All hand work.
