The target will tell but the barrel will too. Reduced,or eliminated, leading is usually a good way to improve accuracy.

Shot the revolver today, and I had my Lab Radar with me. Had some test loads with TiteGroup:

Bullet: LBT 180gr FN, Plain Base, PC

4.5gr TG
Ave = 882fps, ES=47, SD=17

5.0gr TG
Ave = 942fps, ES=29, SD=12

5.5gr TG
Ave = 1000fps, ES=17, SD=7

They were all easy on the hand/recoil wise. The ones at 1000fps are about 400 ft-lb - not a bad load for self-defense either ;)

It was only the 15x rounds, so the revolver wasn't "dirty", but I took this close-up picture before "any" cleaning:

and this one after cleaning it:

My guess the "before" showed some debris from the PC perhaps?
