There is 3 or 4 other Thai guys selling grips, Bobby's photos are top notch and his
feedback is very very extensive and mostly 5 star ratings, including many with comments
of how well the grips fit the customer's guns.

Got my Thai N-frame grips yesterday and installed them on my "Pre-27" 357 mag.
As nice as the K frame grips ....however I wish they were darker, could restain & finiah but will see what some age will do first.

The more yellow or golden hue is similar to the goncalo alves that S&W used for grips later instead of walnut. A nice match.

I can't imagine how many years it'd take for those wood grips to get darker, if they are kept in the typical type of gun storage...UNLESS you go shooting after you change the oil on your car, and skip the hand washing. SIDENOTE: Some day, I should start wearing latex gloves during auto maintenance like the pros do.

when I started to wear nitrile gloves my hands sweated a lot then over time I got used to them now they are great lot less finger prints on SWMBO stuff.

Based on JW's experience, I ordered some grips from a Thailand company (not sure if it is the same seller but I think it may be).
They arrived today and I am VERY happy with the grips.

If you're seeking revolver grips, these are certainly worth looking at.

Very Nice, The thing I like most is they fit my hands better and I'm not taking a hit from recoil on middle finger knuckle!
That used to be so painful with the S&W service grips I could only get thru 50 light target loads! With these grips I have shot 150 shots very comfortably

Thanks!

As much as I admire S&W revolvers, I cannot tolerate the skinny service grips (Magna Grips). I must install a Tyler T-grip adaptor, target grips or some other grips that fills the space between the front strap and the trigger guard.

For a basic service grip, the Pachmayr "Gripper" style grips work well for me. They aren't pretty but they work.
For a little more style & functionality, a slightly larger wooden grip works for me.

The little factory grips are fine for collectors but if I'm going the shoot the thing, it needs to fit my hand.

I ordered my second pair of Thai grips in December. I installed them on my Mod 14-6. This gun came with the S&W labeled Hogue rubber grips, functional but not my preference. Years ago, I swapped for some NOS (allegedly) S&W fingergroove combat grips, while much better looking, I'm not a fan of the feel.
These are Rd Butt to Sq Butt Conversion from monticha2014
When looking straight on, one grip is noticeably darker than the other. I took several photos, because I believe the grips were made from the same chunk of wood and just a natural thing that one side is darker that the other. I kind of prefer the strange character that offers.

That set has all the S&W earmarks--the 1980-forward speed-loader relief cut AND the pre-1968 diamond inset around the stock screw. The S&W "target grips" are another of the few OEM stock sets that my hands get along with well.

I still remember the time when every gun shop had a box of OEM S&W grips for peanuts because everyone wanted, Hogue or Pachmayr or similar aftermarket grips. I used to buy the magna versions and then reshape into a custom grip that fit my hand. Now I'm kicking myself for not buying as many as I could find back then.

Yep, you could go into just about any gun shop and dig through boxes of grips, magazines and holsters. Of course, to save shelf space those boxes were usually on the floor, but it was still worth the time and effort if you need something cheap.

I always wondered if gun shops made any money off the contents of those boxes or if it was just a ploy to keep you in the store longer?

On the subject of grips ......
I have this Ruger that bites . The deep grip and trigger guard you know .

I'm sure I could come up with something formed as part of the grip itself but I don't want mangle the OM parts . The Sec 6 just isn't fun to shoot anymore . I have about all the scraps of nice wood a guy could want from burl gum to a rose cousin and some south American stuff that looks like walnut and mahogany had a thing going on with ash .

I'm more interested in grip profile to fill that space . I generally shoot kind of a medium grip , fat short fingers wide palms and a long thumb web . I wear a size 14 ring on everything but my pinky , it's a 10 .

It's easy for a High Power to get too fat , after a couple of tries I just put the thin too narrow euro-cop plastic back and left it . A G42 is about the perfect contoure but I don't think it's full enough for even 9mm the HP is a good fit there just ugly with the FEG fit .

I don't remember the model number for the N frame grip but I like it , Hoge , finger contoure but not grooved .

I think I've reasoned this out now but if there are some inside pictures with for such a thing I'm game for suggestions .
Sec6 , RBH , or N frame guides would be the most direct help ......

The sick week and too few hours of sleep since are killing me ......

Before the Model 15 was the Model 15 it was the Combat Masterpiece and it was the high water mark of the 38 Special service revolver. There are several design features that mostly go unnoticed but make a difference. There is a slight taper to the barrel and rib, so when the pistol clears about an half inch of leather it is free and ready to go.

Mind is a 1957 vintage, first year of being a Model 15. It was NIB when I bought it in 2000 for the giant sum of $350.00 and a big price at the time. Air Force surplus 15s were selling for $200 - $225. Today it seems almost like a give-a-way price.

Here it is wearing Culina clones of the Smith "Coke Bottle" grips with "football cut out" and palm swells. The wood is English Walnut. Click the pic for a clear photo.

I ordered another set of Thailand grips,
This time from Ebay seller goodsinfinite
I really had a hard time searching/finding what I wanted for this 58, so I settled for these.
open back N frame Sq Butt...Seller's ad showed 3 available.
When I asked if I could see the actual grips, and have choice, they emailed these photos.
Seller said, "Grips are all the same size, photo angle makes some look smaller."
I choose #2
they are suppose to be delivered in 4 to 8 weeks.
I'll keep you posted.
