At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
My tractor tastes are extremely catholic. They all break and cost a lot to fix!

I really liked The Far Side and one called "Zits" I don't find anymore. Funny stuff. The kid in "Zits" got a hair piece for his chest in an attempt to spruce up his chances with girls. Still cracks me up 25 years later!

Anyone else remember following a comic strip from day to day or week to week if it was a Sunday paper only strip? Dick Tracy, The Phantom, Mark Trail, Dondi, Brenda Starr, Mary Worth, Prince Valiant, etc. Serial comics. I wonder if any are still in publication?

I used to cut out the Phantom, Steve Canyon and Dick Tracy from the Sunday paper, then pasting them in scrapbooks to make my own comic books.

I loved Zits, Baby Blues, Family Circus, Garfield, Blondie. Yes I'm only 28, but I miss getting the paper if only for the comics.

I remember reading all those comics growing up rural farming there was no cable tv and the only cartoons were Saturday morning.
I loved the Sunday paper the only one we received and now it’s all sales add and comics that don’t make any sense.
It’s a shame that nobuddy else picked up the baton and kept those classics rolling along.

My dad loved those, but don't forget his favorite one Beetle Bailey!!!

Yes, the elusive, but critical "doorknob principle".

I like John Deere, have run them since I was a teen with my father's LA,
and my current 425.

Pistolero, our last mower was a JD watercooled, flat Vee twin Kawasaki with the coolest radiator perched up on top.Wifey bought it new, over the phone.Dang plastic bodywork desinagrated..... pathetic like.... but was 15 or so years old.I'd own an old JD ag tractor in a heartbeat. My 1320 Ford above was purchased new about 45 minutes from here and spent it's entire life mowing maybe 3acres?before moving here. It's been garage kept since 1989.
