When it's said that a powder can be reduced well one could take that to mean that you can take jacketed data, back it off say 10% or so for a lower velocity loading cast? I have seen lots of data for the 322 looking today, but it's all jacketed.

10% or more depending on the speed your looking for.
it will give you some horrible vertical stringing at 1900 fps without a filler.
with a filler it's more consistent than 4895.

I don't have a problem using a filler, Dacron pillow batting, just a fluff to help fill the case, help hold the powder in position.

From what I have seen in the reloading manuals, 748 usually gives some of the higher speeds with the lowest pressures. Good buy!!!

yep 26 to 32grs of the 322 in the 308-8 mauser cases usually has a nice spot. [1700-2,000 fps]
it works in the argie for sure and the 7.5 swiss with a 150-180gr bullet really likes 28grs.

is is.
I wouldn't say really old, the h-322 is late 80's, and the others are mid-late 90's.

that's the same 748 cans I just used in the XCB rifle to shoot those groups in the range report thread.
I cut the label off one can, dumped all mine together in a plastic jug, then taped the label on the jug and shook it all up.
stuff meters like water though.

that 4895 if it's like mine in the big metal can is pretty fast.
it's quite a bit faster than the IMR I have that's newer stuff.
like close to 3031 fast in some applications.

Aw jeez, yeah, good score, all old cans. 748 in cans like that is the very first powder I ever used other than Hercules BE and Unique. It was good in my .30-30 then and is good in it now, even though I prefer RX-7 slightly for cast bullets.

I shoot the H322 in 222,223,6.8 and have given it a go in 45-70 and had not bad out in the weeds results in a 45 Colts carbine , all in cast and in the little guys with start data for jacketed by bullet weight .
