Thread size on a Savage 340 Barrel

I have a chance at getting a used Shilren ( Spelling?) Savage 110 action threaded barrel ( probably for free!)
I want to put it on a Savage 340 action however I think the thread size is different
Would anyone know for sure?
Thanks
Jim

340 tenon is smaller in diameter and has a different thread pitch from my understanding.

De Hass lists it as .858" major with 18 V threads per inch and shank 1.900" long for 340 types and Savage 110 1.055" with 20 threads per inch and 1.565" long shank. NRA Gunsmithing Guide, 1982.
