Took my Korean import for a spin

Picked this up a few years ago as a shooter, a re-import from Korea. No telling how much is was shot but it was used a lot.11461

Using a cast bullet load of Lyman 311359 @ .311 and 10.2 AA9 for 1600 fps. Indoor range is limited to 50 ft max. Considering the red dot was hardly discernable at 50 ft. and the open GI sights, I'm fairly pleased.

Also took the Ruger PC with my Lee 356120 @ .357 and 3.9 of WST. The Red Dot, which covers up the 10 ring, helped with the results:

Your M-1 Carbine can still do exactly what it was originally designed to do.

I've always considered the M1 carbine to be a 10/22's big brother and even more fun. It's been at least 35 years since I've owned one and I'm embarrassed to say I ruined my last one with an ammo can full of tracers. Was fun though.

My load is 13gr. WC 820 and the NOE 311 115 GC.
Bullets are cast of 50/50 Lino/WW.
I am getting right at 1900 with this load.
I have been using AA9 data for this lot of WC 820.
The grandkids can shoot this load as fast as you can cast and load them....dale

Since I consider my Carbine a plinking gun I could slow my load down and still get reliable functioning.

i have had issues with operation with a couple of the ones I have owned if I don't run the ammo right up near maximum.
