Never used tin star. No reason just never see.

But I burn a fair amount if TB and a buddy burns a whole lot more!! He loves big bores and shoots 6 & 700 magnums with cast bullets. His "light rifles" are a 458, 375 & 458-2". He shoots cast bullets with TB.

I have only had problems using it with jacketed. Its been 100% fine with cast bullets. I have some 350Legend, 45 Colt & 450 Bushmasters loaded now.

Seat a bullet invision the powder cap remaining. Now back off 30% and work up. Dont compress it. Stop at 100% density.

Basically TB and Tin Star are super-bulky Bullseye so the cowboy gamers can load massive volumes of powder-puff ammunition with extreme haste/little care on progressive equipment without risking a double-charge. Nothing wrong with the powders themselves, but "need" is subjective.

Yup--fluffy Red Dot or Bullseye. I still have a couple flasks in the locker currently. No 45/70 work with it, but it did well in 38/55 with the Lee 250 grain bevel-base. 100% density gave almost 1300 FPS and decent accuracy.

I don't resemble that, shot cowboy matches and loaded hundreds of thousands rounds on progressive with extreme care and accuracy.

My wife and I tried Cowboy for 2 or 3 years. Our personae were 1876. There was only one powder in 1876 and we shot full loads in everything, even pocket pistols.

Did it for about 3 years, I would take 5 minutes to shot a stage because I drove long ways to shot. Got yelled at a lot but still took my time always shot clean match.

My wife and I went to a few matches to spectate, looked like fun but after watching a bit I was kind of over it. There were several shooters (and at least two couples) who dressed about like your time, shot Open Tops, Mason/Richard's conversions and 73 Winchesters, all 44 WCF, and brass shotgun shells sealed with water glass, and of course the nastiest Goex 3F around, but there was no trouble at all hearing the hits. One of the wives must not have weighed more than a buck-20 soaking wet, maybe less, and that sawed-off SxS really knocked her around, but she did well. She also fired her revolver with one hand, "gunslinger style" or whatever they call that class. Impressive people doing it about as authentic as one could reasonably get.

I was like "hmmm, what is this "Wild Bunch" thing.....".

I did not like dressing up and because of the age of the players most matches never ran on time.
