Tumbler Recommendations II

I use the Thumbler Tumbler with SS pins, water, dawn and Lumishine like many of you. I like to decap before tumbling so that the primer pockets are cleaned.

I haven't used a dry vibratory machine in so long I don't remember if they will clean primer pockets.

I have a dehydrator for jerky, dried fruit, etc that will dry cases rapidly.

I look at the black water pouring from the tumbler and think about how much of that junk ends upon the dust I had all over everything from my tumbler.
This ^^^ makes sense to me. That combined with still needing to buy more 45 ACP brass and I think I'm going to roll the dice on the Frankford Arsenal Rotary. Or maybe I'll call it the 'poor mans STM' or 'poor mans Thumler'.:)

During the last few years in Kaliforniastan I stopped accumulating Pb, postponed buying a new furnace and only bought brass when it was either on a terrific sale or something like 218 BEE, 25-20 or something else that's harder to find than hen's teeth.

When the expendables that we require for our hobby become more readily available again, I need to add primers, 45 ACP brass, a couple of powders and generate an order to RotoMetals. Also, will be in the market for a new furnace, likely a Pro Melt.

Still want to add a crossbow to our modest little archery section.

Lots of places for my meager little pension check to go. Think I'm going to go with the Frankford Arsenal Rotary. Reviews are at least as good as those for the Thumler and the STM and the warranty is better than most. Surprisingly, even better than RCBS' offering.

Went with the Frankford Arsenal Rotary. Should be here in about a week. Was sorely tempted to grab a Thumler's or STM, but too many other goodies needed and recently spent bucks on batteries for the truck, new pistol, Mrs. smokeywolf has lost 60 lbs in 6 months and was in need of a new holster. Bought her a belly band, she loves it. Youngest son wanted one too, so got one for him and one for me and one for College Boy who's coming home next week.

Bought a ComfortTac for Mom; she loves it. Bought the BravoBelt for me, but it's a little weak for carrying a full size 1911. Bought the Fullmosa for youngest son who is carrying the new DW Guardian. The Fullmosa is definitely the most robust of the three and I think I'm going to order one for myself.

RE: the tumbler... Hoping this one will outlast the one CW had to scrap.
