I'm in need of .45 Colt stuff.
Dies: Brand is not too important, but RCBS heads the list. Steel is okay preferred.
Brass: No nickel, all the same headstamp preferred, and how ever many can be squeezed into a small flat rate box padded envelop. Got brass. Thank you, Cherokee!

Let me know what you have, via a PM.

Thanks,
Michael

You DO NOT want RCBS carbide dies. I have a basically new set I'd love to get rid of but I wouldn't do that to you or anyone else. Old RCBS steel dies are your friend.

How are you doing on bullet moulds?

Having read lately the advantages of steel over carbide dies, I did add that steel is okay. Hmmm . . . maybe I ought to edit to reflect steel only.

Just bought a single-cavity 454190 from Brad's father-in-law. My frugalness will likely push me toward a Lee 452-252 or 452-255.

I would recommend the Lee 452-255-RF. I bought the other SWC in a 6 cav mold and it drops diameters from 451-453 and I decided to not mess with unifoming the cavities. Bought the RF and my friend likes it in his Ruger in 45 Colt.

The Lee RF was my first .45 Colt mould and still the best-shooting one out of 20-something custom ones that have come along since. I have the SWC too but never cast with it.

I fired lots of the Lee RF in my Ruger and Marlin. Haven’t used it in a while but not because it didn’t work.

OK, 200 new Starline cases would cost 20 cents each from them, shipping to CA (3.5#) is $12.00, so I'll do $50 shipped to you. Let me know.
BTW, I've already beveled inside the case mouth on these so they would not be as sticky on the expander upon first use.
