Ok, may need some help here lol.
I was browsing this thread and noticed it said I was ignoring a member....don’t know how that happened, as i’ve Never intentionally ignored or blocked anyone.

Anyway, I went to my settings and sure enough it showed I was ignoring them, so I hit unignore and show content?

Came back to the thread and it still shows ignore, but shows the content.
Does that mean I got it straight for the future, or do I have to do something else?

Ok, it seems to be fixed now as it’s showing their content and the thread. I apologize if the ignore thing showed up on their end as it was totally unintended on my part.

I am down to about 5. They still fight at the feeder.
Yesterday i was de-steming beets. An watching the hummers. I actually heard the collision of 2 birds in the air. I had wondered if they bump each other. An now i know.

birds [especially the younger ones] run into each other all the time.
you can hear them hit wings or hit each other with their wings when they are in a panic situation or just first learning how to fly in a flock.

Or fly straight into the glass of the sliding door and then lay there on the deck with a broken neck. Dead.

Yeah, that's the big problem with dead, just too permanent. Try it and don't like it . . . Tough.

now have three feeders up. A hoot to watch. and they can turn/stop on a dime AND give you 9 1/2 cents change! The males are aggressive as all hell. They are like kamikazes around the feeders. We have Rose of Sharon's (at least that is what my wife TELLS me they are - like I would know the difference!) in the back yard. Big flowers, which supposedly draws them. The feeders just make them come to a known point and fun to watch

We have lots of large windows on the back of the house and find plenty of suicidal birds................never a dead hummer. They will hover in front of the windows, especially if the see a bright reddish object. Tablecloths, chair cushions, tee shirts and the like.

I wish i could say the same.
There is a lot of fall die off already. It's been so dry this year. There shouldn't be the brilliant colors of fall.
The bright spot of the season. Is the swamp oaks we have, have had a wonderful crop this year. So the deer should be giving us a show when they clean our yard of acorns. Which should start real soon.

Our trees have been affected by the hot dry Summer. Leaves starting to turn, especially the Hickory's. Oaks are pretty much acornless. :sigh:

at least everything in your garden isn't turning black from frost, and you still have to water the lawn because it's 80 in the daytime.

We were a bit dry but the last week we have had rain daily. Not as much the past couple days but 75 miles south and west of us got a few days in the 2.5-3" range in a row.
Berms at the range angle won't be pickable for a few weeks. I dislike muddy berms.

No lawn, here, just weeds to mow. It's been in the high 80's and low 90's for quite some time. Add in the humidity and your soaking wet from very little activity. Yesterday, it was 75 at 6 AM and made it up to 87 in the late afternoon..............cocktail sipping weather out on the veranda. :D

I'm not sure that time spent admiring God's creation gets subtracted from your total allotted.

Or at least, it shouldn't. Spent a good bit of it myself.

Lone Baltimore Oriole, showed up, yesterday. They must have started migrating. Put out the oriole nectar feeder and jelly dish.
