It's been tough at times, and I wonder how it happened that I made it, but I am very thankful and am looking forward to the upcoming 30 years with much eagerness.

OK I'm learning a lot here! Let me run something by Brad: I was talking to an old friend ( before I had my Carpel Tunnel surgery) He told me to go to Tractor supply ...the horse section and buy a $6 bottle of DMSO....he swears it stops pain ( especially In his hands ...Arthritis ) so I did>
Never used it because I went for surgery the following week. Does that stuff work?

DMSO can be a bit scary to me. It goes thru the skin rapidly and carries anything on the skin with it. Not really anything I would ever use. I’m not a folk remedy kind of guy.

DSMO has never been approved for human use. The side effects, FOR SOME PEOPLE, can be very harsh. It hit its peak use in the early 1970's but died out quickly. Animal usage continues because they live shorter life spans that humans. FWI

One More thing I need to ask Brad!
My wife wants to know If Sodium Silicate ( water Glass) is dangerous to be used to temporarily remove wrinkles

That is a hard one to answer. It is present on some cosmetic products but in very small amounts.
Would I use straight water glass on my skin? Nope

it works on the roof pretty good, and it may have found it's way into a sprinkler system or two over the years.
so I have been told.

SNIP...

I knew an old-timer who sprayed WD-40 on all his wooden garden tool handles every spring and they were smooth, shiny and perfectly burnished, preventing blisters and splinters from tool handles older than I was.
I am a big fan of boiled linseed oil (thinned with MS) for old wood handles on garden tools. There is nothing like getting a 50 yr old garden tool with a tough looking handle, and applying some linseed oil and letting it sit outside for a week to bake in the sun. Every Spring, I also coat the wheelbarrow handles, trailer bed, wooden steps into the house...and a few other things.
