Seeing that most of us aren’t really the shut in kind and will be seeking something to do I propose a forum challenge.
Starting tomorrow we Will use this thread to post ammo loaded on Sat and Sun.
Lost what you loaded and then the updated running total based on previous post.

Who else thinks we can hit 5K?

Well I'm not shut in and have been furiously making plans for a negative total starting tomorrow afternoon. Gonna be down for a while soon so I'm making the most of it now.

ETA just got confirmation on a hot shooting date, it's on!

Sept. 10, 2021 Steve left us. You are missed.
I'm just a single stage guy, a usual run is only 100 at a time. And not really shut in any more than normal. I can shoot when I want, probably do some of that.

actually.
I have just over 5-K [shoot and toss] shot shell hulls all prepped and ready to run through the Ponsess.
I could knock out 5-K in under 10hrs. if I really wanted to with smoke and food breaks.
could do it in 5 if I got someone to run the other machine.

I don't think I have maybe 2-K empty pieces of Brass unless you count the 223 and 308 L.C. stuff that needs a full process before loading.
I'm pretty caught up on everything else since I am planning on re-doing the bench sometime soon.

My plan is for 50 32/20's for the S&W Target Saturday and 100 30/06 sage rat loads on Sunday. But each will be beautiful and perfect.

today 250 30/06 ready to load,with 2 or 300 more 06 to get ready.
I do all mine on 2 single stage RCBS presses.

Good point, Ric. The cartridges I crank out in bulk on my Lee Classic Turret press using a custom PTE die and the Lee powder hopper with double-disk kit only shoot groups like this:

Just ribbing ya, Amigo ;)

I’ve done 150 45auto in the last week, now starting on 44mag. Time is limited with young family and 5acres to maintain. Also putting in a small truck patch for this summer.

Okay, I just finished a single box of .38 wadcutters to try out tomorrow. Accurate 36-135W sized .3585" and coated with BLL. I see a flaw in the plan to use BLL already because I'm using a steel RCBS sizing die and it's a pain to wipe off the lube without de-lubing the front band that's exposed. So either I powder coat them, use a carbide sizing die, don't worry about the lube being wiped off, batch size and clean before loading, or seat them almost flush.

I'm pretty much caught up on my reloading, except for the 90 rounds of 9 mm I went through yesterday. Those will be reloaded on the next rainy day. One of the advantages of being retired. Plenty of empty brass but that is reserve for replacing worn out cases. As it stands, I have more loaded ammo than most GS............especially 9 mm and 22 LR.

Put me down for 50 223 . I'll prime some more preps a little later , it's the end of a brass lot .

Loaded 500 rounds of 9MM and 150 rounds of 44 mag last week for my brothers.
Ive got another 500 Mihec HP 124 gr. 9mm powder coated and ready to go. I just don't have a load worked up for them yet.
With the world the way it is, I might have to make a 3 hour drive to the deer lease to shoot.
I really envy you guys that can go out your back door and shoot!

Ian there is another option.

copy the Dillon die.
easiest die ever to clean and/or change bullet nose profiles on,,,, ever.
you don't even have to take it out of the press.

it's like they actually thought about cast bullet shooters when they made their seat/crimp dies..

I got set up and loaded 300 9mm. Will do more in a bit. I have 3 primer pickup tubes for large and small primers so 300 is my normal max run in on sitting. Or standing actually.
