I'm big on guitar riff intros...the likes of "Enter Sandman", "Smells like teen spirit", "Crazy Train" & anything Led Zep or Pink Floyd.

When I cast I listen to KGAU in Spokane Wa . It is a station affiliated with Gonzaga university and plays nothing but classical music.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
Not the freakin' news, that's for sure. Can be anything from Hank Snow to Mary Robbins to Tom Petty to Enya to Journey to Glenn Miller. Depends on the mood.

Today this is it . Always been a fan. First one is 1968 with Judy Duble singing . Next was early 70's with Sandy Denny who replaced Judy in 1969 .

I was just listening to some of their stuff a couple of days ago.
there are still a few bands around that are some similar to bands like them just with a more modern sound.

Ben asked to see where you cast, I want to hear what you listen to while casting.

I am a big fan of 70s and 80s hard rock. I have probably cast more bullets while listening to AC/DC than anything else. Back in Black is just about the perfect length album for a Magma 40 pounder.

Sometimes it is Metallica, Journey, Van Halen, or Zepplin. Got to have some music when casting. Makes it seem to go faster.

For me, it's Motown and classic rock, up to the 80's which provides a very wide range of tunes. It helps me remember the good old days !

Still, in order, Baroque, Classical, Opera, Doo-Wop, Motown and pre-1968 Rock and Roll. Boom box is still going good, but the cassette tapes are getting scratched up from the dust and dirt after 30 years.

This is a cool radio program that you can also stream from the internet: http://www.retrococktail.org/ Mostly 50's and 60's cocktail lounge music with TV and Movie scores.

I put in ear plugs when I start casting. Once I get a feel for how the mould wants to cast that day, I just sort of zen out.
