Jumped from late Winter to Summer and skipping the whole 70's for a high thing. Saw 87 yesterday afternoon. By then we had already quit working. In the a.m. I worked on the range, mostly painting in a wind so strong that sometimes the spray paint would make a curving 90 degree turn in 8 inches of travel.
After lunch, I help Sue pulling dead phlox stems, tall grasses, and giant rag weed from a "flower bed" infested with wild black raspberry stems. Our arms are shredded, and I got into nettles. Sun block sprayed on berry brush scratches is unpleasant.
Then took a 60 mile MC ride, (where we saw 87 on the gauge), waiting to go to the body shop to pick up my pickup. Got home and got my fishing gear packed into my truck for my upcoming three day white bass frenzy. Cut a bunch of Ostrich fern fiddle heads for creamed fiddleheads on toast for Supper.
Thunder storms rolled through from 11:30 pm until about 2:30 am. Quite the light show just north of us. Then good steady rain. 64 this morning before dawn.
