What is your weather today?

California's Central Coast Amid The Insanity
I saw the moving wall twice. The emotion I felt was overwhelming and one I can't put into words. The first time, I couldn't get make myself get any closer than 25 or so yards. The second time, I looked for the starting and ending dates of my year in-country (27 June '68-26 June '69), stood back a couple steps and just stared at all those names. Didn't find out till about seven years ago that one of those names was a kind of first cousin.

Weather is typical Spring -- 57 and sunny with a bay-chilled Northwest 11 mph wind.

Finally the rain stopped yesterday and the humidity has lifted today. My son was able to mow the grass today. Supposed to be a chance of rain Saturday, I will have of, hopefully I can get the bushmaster out before the rain starts, or at least between drops.

We still have a high predicted (guessed) to be 90*. Love our house. Walkout side of basement faces North. While outside temps have been in the 90s for the last 4 days or so, basement has stayed in the low to mid 70s; that's with no A/C.

Talked to A/C & heating company yesterday and they say the new geothermal unit is "in transit" from Waterfurnace.

82* currently (11:10 A.M.), supposed to hit 95* today and through the weekend. 12% humidity right now. Fire weather, bigtime. Fingers crossed here.

That's good news a long time in the coming. They give ya any idea when to expect it and then get it installed?

Only hit 88 today, right now much thunder & lightning & heavy rain. Weather radio keeps going off warning of flooding making sure if they can't sleep nobody sleeps.

Our weather radio never went off. Cindy's smart phone and all the computers had alerts. Received 1.3 inches of rain, during the night. Not much thunder but plenty of lightning going on, every time I woke up during the night.

They don't want to commit to a specific date. I feel at this point, since we took quite a while to do some careful financial 'chess moves' (go this way that happens, go that way something else happens), not really fair for me to lean on them too hard.
They had to pay for the unit when they ordered it from Waterfurnace. We pay nothing until unit is installed and running. Once they have the unit, I don't think they'll drag their feet.

The day I signed the papers, the owner of the AC company also told me we were getting the order in just a couple of weeks before an already announced large price increase.

Getting ready for another 100+ day, will be even hotter late in the week. Everything is baked dry, grass and flowers gave up trying to grow after poking up a few shoots from the 1/2" rain we had a few weeks back. Gonna be a miserable summer here.

Well its been beautiful all morning... But its clouded over and we have that updraft kinda wind. Forcast says dangerous winds hail rain lighting and possible tornados. The heat of the day 16:00 will clash with a cold front producing dangerous results... Guess my match is gonna be canceled...
