What is your weather today?

That seriously lost, water logged cloud and its 30-second sprinkle, mentioned in another post, was nothing to the following several minutes actual "rain". Rain enough to cause a bit of street gutter flow. Rain invisible since the first of the year. Even Duke was excited.

Today's homestead project involved working in dirt. Do I work in mud, or wait?

Typical desert day here; 65 this morning at 0600 and heading for 101 by 1600. Humid this morning at 62% due to the orchards sprinklers running last night, but will be down 12% by this afternoon.

103F, maybe rain in the future. Running the soaker hoses next to the foundation this week. Long time since I had to watch where I walked so I didn't fall into a crack in the ground. Roads really taking a beating too.

Got an inch of rain this morning. Then a little while ago we got 2" in 30 minutes. This is the anniversary of the flood of 2007 where we got almost 10" in a short time. It can stop now. But....more to come around 11 pm.

Front blew in from the Gulf of Alaska today; 99 at 1300 and 89 at 1600. Few drops of rain, but nothing recordable. Down to 50's tonight but humidity, up into the 50's.

Supposed to get another inch or two this afternoon.

Rainy day on the lake, today. Had some bad looking storms go down the north shore and there were several funnel clouds extending down to the ground. I was watching them thru my telescope and at first it looked like they were tornadoes with a lot a stuff in the air at ground level. But I believe it was just clouds that were force all the way to the ground by air currents or temp. Drove over that way this morning and nothing was evident. Not even any branches or leaves on the ground.

Been waiting for that, so far not happening. 2" off/on soaking so far. I'm like 5 mi from Hawk.

Trinity was to crest above flood last nite. Downstream - watch out! Just a quarter inch early this morning. Remember coming back from St. Pete years ago, DFW airport was surrounded by water. At that time there was nothing else there.

Kinda gray when I got up. But it started to clear and then while I was reading emails and such, I thought the AC had come on but it got louder. Looked up and it was pouring outside. Raindrops were huge and looked more like rocks landing in the lake. Lasted all of 5 minutes. Now the sky is blue with huge white fluffy clouds an not even the slightest breeze. But I think the forecast is for more storms to blow thru before the day is over. If this stuff is hitting Bret, he's probably not getting much done.

Are your wiper blades up to the job?

Driven I-40 many times, but never further East than Clines Corners, New Mexico. If for no other reason than to say you did it, you ought to stop, there, and wander through the store. If you can walk out without buying something, you're a more frugal shopper than I.

Wait . . . now that I think about it, it wasn't me who bought something, it was my wife. However, what she bought is perfect for our motorhome's bathroom.

Weather? Why yes, we had some of that this afternoon. 4 inches in 2-3 hours. No wind but quite a light show and much noise. I have a wet weather creek on my property, this afternoon that creek thought it was the Mississippi River.
