We're expect to tie or break another record today. Officially, 96* yesterday in Mountain Home, tied a record set in 1970. I'm eight miles south of Mountain Home.............usually a degree or two warmer.

Cold front expected on Thursday with a high of 75 degrees.

Well Tuesday night we had a light frost, the first of the season.
Tonight is predicated the first snow above 1000 feet.
After that temperatures are predicted to be back in the low 50’s high 40’s, but snow again a week from Saturday. We’ll see

Summer here officially ends tomorrow, yesterday was 91 degrees, today . . . 71. I am delighted Mother Nature is paying attention.

Back to Summer. Opening day of archery season, also. Sixty seven degrees at 5AM. Expected high of 92 degrees. Didn't even consider going out with the bow today. Irrigating the food plot, instead. Haven't received any rain since the 2nd of September. Mid 80's tomorrow. :sigh:

This morning's unseasonal damp fog has replaced seasonal bright sunshine. Weather guessers are sticking to their scheduled high of 75, and have the fog scheduled to burn off by 0900. My guess is that is their guess is wrong and it won't burn off till 1100.

First frost yesterday morning same deal this morning. Few hazy clouds but mostly clear. I'll be taking off in a little while for a two hour drive and then some Muskie fishing for maybe 3-4 hours, then home.

If not for the calendar, I'd'a thought it was June, July, or August, because of the last four mornings of June Gloom. September is a fickle month, though, and easily confused as to if it's Summer or Fall.

Waiting for whats left of Ian to pass over sometime in the early morning hours tomorrow. Center of circulation will come pretty close to the home place but not expecting anything much other than some heavy rain and gusty winds, I'll have plenty of leaves and small limbs to pick up if nothing else.

Had an 0745 errand and drove into some patchy fog that reduced visibility to 50-yards. Thought the range may have a fog delay opening. The June Gloom rolled in about 1800. Late morning turned into a clear blue sky with an afternoon high temperature of 70. Excellent September afternoon, but weird early morning and evening.

Does a hurricane off the the SE stall good weather over the upper Midwest? I know a Gulf Hurricane down around Texas will pump moisture up here to beat the band. But an Atlantic hurricane seems to give us day after day of nice weather. A little warmer this morning with 49° at dawn. The hurricane must be weakening allowing our weather to move off to the East. "Spose to hit mid 70's the next three days then colder again.
