The June gloom showed up last week. No sunrises, no sunsets, no moons, intermittent shadows between roughly 11:00 am and 4:00 pm, light breeze to wind of 15 mph, and temperatures in the very comfortable high 60s to low 70s.
Pretty much the pattern till middle to late September, then the sky clears and the temperature rises. The gloom can get monotonous, but not the temperatures.

We got the Sahara dust yesterday and it was bad.
Looked like we had a brush fire down the street.
Supposed to be more on the way. Yea!!!

Cool, A bit of heavy mist up to 5 miles inland. Just enough to make the dirt on your car turn to dirty water and run down the sides.
June Gloom came late to SoCal this year.

Looks like the rain has ended for a while. Been pretty wet so far. But today at 5 am it was 36*, sunny and looking good. Loving it. Got to remember the days are getting shorter now. Winter is coming Jon Snow.

Well, it's finally summer here.
Upper 90s to lower 100s. No rain.
Repeat daily for the next two months.

Sun's trying to peek through the June gloom, wind is inching its way up to the scheduled 15 mph, and the temperature has reached its scheduled 67-degrees.

90* just barely right now. That is relatively cool, given the time of year. 2 days ago was 105* here, 121* in the low desert (Indio/La Quinta). I like the 90* bit a whole lot more.

the time of year where everyone complains about the heat... LOL

not rubbing it in.
72-F for a high yesterday, and right around maybe as high as 37 last night.
there may have been a slight frost on the truck this morning when I looked out there, and I closed the front door last night at about 1 am. to block some of the breeze blowing through.

I hear we might hit 80 come Friday or so.

100° yesterday we quit about noon with high hopes of an inside work afternoon but soon discovered that cool water a light lunch and 25°/% humidity drop leads directly full collapse of drive and deep thirst .

We did go out after dinner and get a couple of cedar logs I hope to turn into posts for the gazebo .

High Steppe weather today. Morning at 65 and 30% humidity and this afternoon predicted 95 with 12%. I think I may have seen a cloud over Mt. Rainer, but that would be the only one.

Was 78 degrees when I got up at 4 AM....................on it way to the mid 90's. Currently, 92.1 degrees. Only saving grace, is that's its mostly cloudy with about 10 mph winds out of the SSE. Got up early to go out fishing on the lake. Could only use the electric trolling motor, when the wind was at our backs...............about half the time. Caught a 20 1/2" walleye. Threw a undersized Striper back and had a very nice Striper at the boat, when it decided to make one last run and broke the 17# test line.
