Rick there’s only two seasons here. Winter and 4th of July.

All kidding aside, are fall starts in September thru mid October. Winter usually starts on October 10th 2/3 of the time that’s when we receive our first snowfall that stays until late April. Spring lasts until Memorial Day. Generally have snow around till May 5th. Generally on May 6th the mosquitoes and buds on trees are out. Summer happens suddenly as our part of the planet can’t afford to waste time. Because “Winter is coming Jon Snow”
Calendar seasons don’t apply here.
Now winter and 4th of July are obviously BS, but there’s snow on the ground usually from October to April, just about a certainty. And with 3 hours of daylight in December there isn’t any possibility of it warming up.

First snow down here on the desert floor, just a heavy dusting. A couple of feet fell on the ridge line above town and chains required to get over the pass to Seattle.

Was 73 today 50 tonight. Cloudy and that weird not really fog that keeps you looking over your glasses to see if it's them the windshield or the air .

2 weeks ago it was 25/40 grey and frainy . Slickers and thermals cause the wind breaker wasn't enough and the coat was too much .

I rode my bicycle home from work this evening in classic 35°F Puget Sound slushy/rainy/wet not quite sticking at sea level snow!
Rode a bicycle to work, 365 days a year, when I worked at a GM plant that was one mile from my house. I worked second shift. If it snowed more than three inches, while at work, Cindy would come pick me up with the van. Did that for almost twenty years, til I took a transfer to the GM building, that was about five mile from the house. Got hit by a car, once, clipped the rear wheel. Had a woman open a car( parked) door up, as I was passing, on a snowy day. Didn't get hurt, just a few bumps and bruises.

Snowing today, the little lake down the road has a skim of ice on it...
I think winter is here this time.
Time to get the ice fishing stuff out!

Pass closed to Seattle, chains required to get to Portland. Just 3 inches here but a couple of feet of new snow in the mountains.
