What is your weather today?

Nice day here today. Some smoke but left when the NE wind pushed it farther south. Suppose to freeze tonight. Saw about a hundred turkeys again today all out picking gravel along the roads while checking traps. Folks are out harvesting wild rice so moving the local ducks and geese around. Saw 14 Swans on one of my rice lakes today, they are about as graceful as a B52 bomber when they take flight.

We have plunged in to Fall!
But after the very hot summer it is nice! I can stay out side all day even with the sun shining!
But it looks like frost will be very soon

Autumn, heading to 30's overnight...high's in the low 60's, breezy and sunny.....all in all a very pretty day.

What little wind there has been, the last few days, has really diminished the smoke and returned the air quality to mostly normal. Tuesday, the air quality index was 510, today it is eight. Still, there has been unseasonable overnight and early-to-mid morning fog. Fog is okay, smoke and ash isn't.

Nice and breezy, 60's all day. A lot of overcast. One of those you think it may rain days, but it it still has not.

It should start raining in a couple hours and last for a day and a half. Lets hope the lightning holds off. We need a break.

Today was clear and smokiness is largely gone. Predicted high was 102*, it only made it to 94*. NICE. Same is forecast for tomorrow. 6 weeks+ of smoke and haze got REAL OLD.

Discounting the unseasonal lightning strikes that started two of the three local fires, the weather of the last two months has been more than a little unusual. This morning, a dense fog is just now starting to burn off, and I can finally see the telephone pole that is less about 150-yards away.

Been skirting frost every evening for 3 nights...Still lucked out ! Stuff I could move in the shed, I did the rest of the stuff leaving to mother nature1
It has been a long hot summer here and the gardens were not the best....I ready to turn it all under and fertilize and hope next year will be better

Nice and sunny but cool. Had some haze "from the California Fires 2000 miles away?" a couple days last week. Supposedly trapped by the Applanations and pushed up to the Ohio River area. Was a bit chilly, gloomy.
But it has cleared up, so the temps climbed a bit, sunshine and blue sky's. Been working outside the last two days.

OK We definitely had frost Saturday Night and We had frost Last Night....Went up to look and my 60 ft spread of 1 pumpkin plant and It is Finished!
All that growth and only one Pumpkin! Funny it did not affect the Chilli Pepper plants? Maybe because they are so tall

89* right now, high supposed to be 92* and don't know if it will get there. Lows have been mid-50s for the past few nights, so the windows go open at 7-8 P.M. and stay that way until at least Noon each day since the weekend. The A/C runs in 8-15 minute bumps each hour to stay at 78* inside. Indio shows 103* currently, so the time approaches apace to start my annual shooting bit out that way.

What with the June gloom, three local fires, and the smoke from many others, I finally saw the moon last night.
Now that Autumn has officially arrived, our weather will improve, though.
Present temperature is 68, humidity is 67, the sky is clear and blue, and there is a gentle breeze. Just about perfect.

86* right now (2:15 P.M.), today is much like yesterday. VERY pleasant, indeed. Both of us slept in a bit, then went to the vampires at the doc shop for blood draws. 10 FLIPPIN' VIALS. I was afraid to check the dipstick, I'm sure I'm a quart and a half low after that deduction.

I'll do some sizing/lubing shortly, and if I can clear a space on the shop table I might pour some hot ones later.

Sunrise at 7:42 AM and sunset at 7:42 PM. The Equinox for this Latitude. First real frost last Thursday, got the last of the garden in on Wednesday. Our harvest was about 50% of normal as this has been the wettest summer on record, and averaging about 10 degrees colder all summer. Maybe 10 or so days in the 70's for a high where a normal summer will see commonly in the 70's, with 80's and occasionally in the 90's. Mushrooms are doing great.

So much for global warming. We've been enjoying some of that smoke from the PNW fires since last Friday courtesy of the jet stream and a couple of cool fronts, everyone I talk to has the sniffles, coughs, and itchy throats.

Whats left of Beta is going through my area today, suppose to get around 2" of rain before early morning on Saturday but the rest of the weekend will be nice. I'll be doing some casting in the morning and reloading off and on over the weekend. Past few weeks have been in the 60s and 70s during the day with the nights being in the upper 40s and 50s and I loving it.

Yesterday and today were just absolutely GORGEOUS. High 80s in the afternoon, mid-50s overnight. Little-to-no smoke showing.

We did a local drive-around today, and most of the freeways that surround us are in some phase of construction. One such project that I am glad to see under way is the portion of SR 60 between Moreno Valley and Beaumont, called "The Badlands". It was the home ground of the Clantons and McLaurys (yup, those hombres from Tombstone, AZ) after the Civil War was over, and was known for cattle rustling well into the 20th Century. More recently, it retains its bad rep due to traffic volumes 3x-5x more than what it was designed to manage. It was part of my old beat area from 1982-87, and was the scene of many nasty, ugly collisions in tule fog that I helped CHP handle on graveyard shift. It is now getting expanded to 3 lanes each way, and a lot of the curvy and poorly-banked roadway is getting updated and upgraded. There is probably a year's worth of work left, after a year of work so far. About time!
