The YETI is an AR15 platform custom round cut down .308 or any other .473 head cartridge and necked up to .358
The pointed bullet is a must for the auto loader.

Actually I started with Michael's original RD for the 30/30, GC & PB worked well. Now I use 170 PB & 185 GC similar and works well in 30/30 & BO. Haven't had a need to try in AR10. Loaded the 170 PB ~900 & 1400 fps (BO pistol) for close hogs, need to find some hogs now.

looks like you could easily make them from 300 savage.
My original cases for the 358 yeti was cut from
300 savage case
270 Winchester
308 Winchester
The majority of formed .358 are range found .243 cases approximately three hundred
This was a deciding factor in getting this rifle. Anything with .473 base can be cut down and formed into .358 yeti case.
Ample supply of brass, and bullets, BUT NOTHING IN RELOADING MANUALS
It's a definite thumper for an AR15 platform not as big as my .458 socom , but much faster.

yeah,, I know the feeling....LOL
I have a very similar, only in 7mm version in a bolt gun.
it was developed by the Brits, passed over by the American's and forgotten by history.
you make them by chopping/necking down [very slightly] 300 savage cases.
I can rob data from the brief lived 7mm BR which is better than nothing, but still close to nothing.

Have a Remington 700 BDL IN 7MM MAG.
Yours sounds very close to 7mm - 08 ?

Wikipedia also has some info that fills in the story a little better.

Cartridge design, interesting. Powder capacity, bullet weight, BC, fps only stuff that matters. Pick your poison. New Mil plastic case is interesting, who picks up the plastic after a fire-fight? Looks like an interesting loading technique, ram bullet from back into case, dump in powder, seat primed case head and done. Local Co. here.

I just find it interesting that after kicking that round to the curb the military is now searching for something to do exactly what it was designed to do.
it could even be simply re-necked to the 6.5 caliber and called the greedmore or something new and be more to their liking.

This is SD ammo from another Co, old news.

I think I got a few of their plastic 223 cases somewhere here.
I seem to recall them having a case head that looked like aluminum.
