Folks, what Williams Foolproof model will attach to the Marlin 1895 CLTD?

I detest tang sights that prevent getting a grip on the wrist. Hate it.

Does the 336 have the same screw spacings? I think so... The 1895 CLTD has two side screws on the left of the action and the four screws on top.

Hate. HATE. H A T E tang sights.

When I had mine, the standard 336 set fit. It was a fairly early one, and don't know about later ones, FWIW.

Bet the 336 sight would work. You can go with a side mount or one that uses the rear two screws on top.

I have a Williams on my Guide Gun, but it mounts in the rear most scope holes. It did require a higher front blade as well. It is a BU to the 2.5X Leupold in a forward scout style mount in Talley QD rings. Williams WGRS-336
I'm not sure if the side mounted sights are the same as the 336 or not.

Call the people at Williams Gunsight, they were very helpful when I was trying to find proper front sights for mine.

Williams has one specifically for the 1895 ......or I got lucky with the front sight . This is set for a 405 @1400 fps 150 yd zero .

It mounts in the 2 aft scope mount holes and with the insert removed it passes nicely for a ghost ring .

WILLIAMS FP-94/36 - Side Screws
Winchester 94 Top eject,55,63,64,65, and 9422;
Marlin Models 36, 336, 444, 44 Magnum, and 93 and 1895 and 1895G pre 2001;

WILLIAMS 5D-94/36 Side Screws
Winchester 94 Top eject,64,9422;
Marlin 36, 336, 1894, .44 Magnum (Pre 2001)

Williams FP-94SE uses two top screws, side-by-side, these will NOT match up with the 336/1895 top holes, which are in-line, front to back.

WILLIAMS FP-336 Top screws
Marlin centerfire lever actions (uses two rear scope mount holes.) 1894 requires hammer extension.

Lyman side screws?
