Small 2 speed fan from thrift store ($2), sits behind Lee furnace.
I can aim it toward the "drop area" or out the window.

was thinking of putting this small blower fan beside my furnace and after the cast could put the mold underneath and cooling the sprue first and need be the mold by leaving it longer all this depending on the way mold react

Squirrel cage is the way to go, what you have there should be great but I'd have it blowing straight down on top of the sprue plate so the mould blocks don't get cooled too much. I use a manicurist's fan, sometimes.

Hardly ever use a fan, except to keep me cool or to blow the fumes away from my direction. I try to cast outdoors when it's cool and set up according to the prevailing winds.

I have ceiling mounted fans (wind machine) in my shop and my casting table is on castors. I move the table in front of the shop door and adjust fan to blow from one side to eliminate fumes in my face. Never found the need for a mould fan, but most often cast in the winter, so don’t worry about too much heat.

Like Ian said, have it blowing straight down on the mould for best results.

My casting setup isn't setup now to show the fan. But I use a small 4" "nail" fan that Manicurists use to aid in drying fingernail polish.
You can get them at beauty supply stores. The have a std AC plug and a clamp on the bottom. About $15

I have used this fan for several years with excellent results. I bought it at Target in the women's section (manicurist's fan). It cost less than $10.00. Here is it in use:

I simply fill the mould, then sit it under the fan for a couple of seconds, then proceed to open the sprue and dump the bullets. As soon as the sprue turns frosty, I proceed. It maintains the mould temp and I waste NO time waiting for the mold to cool.
