are those even a real item?
I have always heard that you need them when using a semi auto rifle.....not true??....Are they needed?
Hey. Thanks for the info.Small base dies still don't address the issue of inadequate case sizing immediately in front of the belt. That kills more belted brass than anything else. I'd suggest a separate body of the type sold by Larry Willis to make the brass live a long, happy life.

Then use your choice of std sizing dies for the neck and shoulder.
Perhaps for a couple of loadings. That area in front of the belt can be a real issue for some. Where's Ian with "it doesn't matter until it does"?All his brass is from his rifle. You think std dies will work?
This guy only pulls the trigger on that rifle when there is hair in the crosshairs.Agree with fiver. Use regular dies, don’t push the shoulder back too far, and plan on 3 reloads tops.
Push the shoulder back too much and the case above the belt gets thin really fast.
All of that said, how much does he plan to shoot the rifle? Most 300 Win Mags aren’t going to be fired hundreds of times a year so 100 cases will last a while.
