WTB Lyman mould screws

A friend just gave me a Lyman single cavity that is missing the sprue plate screw, washer and also the screws to attach the blocks to the handles. If someone has spares or knows of a source I would much appreciate it.

Dang it. I hauled off several Lyman moulds with a load of scrap metal a couple of years ago and didn't think to save the hardware.

If it's a Lyman I believe they offer a rebuild kit that should include all the screws.

Thanks for the link JonB. After Rick's post I looked on Amazon, I can buy a kit from Lyman including sprue plat pretty cheap. Next time I order something from there I'll snag 1.

Not certain about a 1-cavity Lyman rebuild kit, but MidwayUSA and Graf's have both had 2-cavity kits in stock for me in the recent past. Other than the actual sprue plate itself, I believe the screws are identical between 1- and 2-cav moulds.

Not all Lyman sprue plate screws are same thread.
Per Eric's website:
>Early style 10x36 sprue pivot screw and split spring washer for Ideal and older Lyman stamped molds. (Most molds with the slotted-head lock/set screw are 10-36).
>Late model Lyman/Ideal sprue screw(10x32) with narrow type split spring washer included. Most later model molds with the allen head lock screw are 10x32.

Lyman no longer offers the rebuild kits for the older small single cavity moulds, but they do have them for the later large block singles. By large block, think of single cavity muzzleloader moulds in 50 cal or so. I had to buy my replacement sprue plate from Red River Rick in Canada. Erik may have some, but the last I knew they were Ricks. BTW, they're excellent quality. As for the screws, there were also two different size screw heads between the newer and later designs. The heads on the later screws need to be turned down for use in older moulds. I believe the screw size & thread pitch remained the same though.

For now I just robbed another mould I have that I never use, thanks for the replies.

I get a lot of parts that way. An unloved 45 cal round ball mould at the gunshow often supplies me with a set of handles, screws, and a sprue plate. It's a bargain for $25.00. If I don't need the little pieces, I can usually sell the mould on one of the auction sites for what I paid for everything to begin with, and end up with a free set of handles.
