Remember Beagle's article "Why Grown Men Cry" from Castpics? I call it "group fever". It's really bad when shooting ten.

Good shooting, Thumbcocker!
I also shoot paper plates a lot. But sometimes i shoot the «official» paper targets at my range, with a 12 inch black circle (adapted to shooting with peeps). The good thing with these targets is I have no idea what the group looks like until I’m done shooting.

That is an advantage! When I shoot 200 and 300 yard matches, once zeroed, I never look at the target. Find my position and wind and pull the trigger, works for me!

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
Maybe I'm just lucky, but the 308 has been a real reliable cast caliber for me. I haven't got up in the areas above 2-2200 fps much, but in the mid range and low node stuff they seem to be easy to get shooting.
