John,
I do have one 94AE, bought it from the Win/USRAC Rep more then 30yrs ago. It's a .44Mag with a 20inch bbl. They were a Special Production Run for the BIG 5 Sporting Goods chain. Which also happens to also be the largest retailer of footwear in the State. Weird
The 94AE in .44Mag has a .429dia bbl and a long throat. So it will chamber the #429421 But won't feed it from the magazine, too long. Still it shoots very accurately. Scoped it when I got it. Put 5rds of the #429244GC into 2 1/4" at 100yrds, once. Otherwise it's 2 3/4 -3" at 100yrds.
Of course those were 35year eyes.
Never malfunctioned once. Only bullet the won't feed are the Keith SWC from either Lyman or RCBS, just too long.
My favorite bullets are the Lyman #429244GC, #429667 or N.O.E. 432-240-RF, a TL design. That last is FANTASTIC, either tumble-lube 45/45/10 from WLL or PC'ed with Eastwood Squirrel Grey.
And My Cowboy Shooting Buddy can get 10 rounds into his Win 94AE Trapper, when seated to crimp on the ogive.
