350 Rem Mag

Mrs. Said buy it I went naw.......
You should kick your butt for that one!!!!

I was never a fan of the Rem. 600/660 particularly with that plastic vent rib, ugly laminated stock, and dog leg bolt handle. They fixed it with the Model 7......everything except for not offering it in a left hand action. I kept waiting for them to bring one out in a wood stocked left hand 7-08. I would have paid full manufacture's suggested retail price. Alas! It never happened.

Well it finally happened, I've got the Model 7. It's like new, doubt it's been shot 10-20 times. I think this one is a candidate for a 2x7 power leupold as well. I just can't warm up to the 1-4 on this one. It also looks like the RCBS 35-200 FN is a perfect fit for this cartridge. Time to empty some brass and fill it with lead.16511.jpeg16516.jpeg16512.jpeg16510.jpeg

the saeco 250gr bullet is really good in the 358 win. [fits the short action mag no problem too]
a little more from the 350 wouldn't hurt it none.
The 350 Rem Mag is a tick longer in the case than a standard 308, so I might run into some issues with head height. Thanks to CW, I'll have a few heavier projectiles to check and play with.

In the lever, they are likly too long. But in a single shot or single fired probably fine. I also have a MP 220g thats close in profile to the RCBS 200. Its a dandy over re7 in my 358 Win.

you can set it back over the front drive band, might still be a bit iffy, but well worth the try.
it looks like it'll be close and kind of depend on your magazine length.

Mag length is hard at 2.8", one of the downsides of a Model 7.

This is a NOE 360-232 it runs 230g and should be fine for length. I bought this for the 358/356 Winchesters.

This is the Saeco 352. This has shot well in every gun I have loaded it into. Its just a good bullet. Only issue is GC shank is small. So Powder coating eliminates the issue. But conventional lube might cause problems.

This is a NOE clone of the Lyman 35809 bullet @ 280g. It can be "ojivey" when powder coated. This was my GOTO 35 Whelen bullet with conventional lube.

I also threw in smaller quantities of two Accurate molds the 36-270c & 36-310.

I'm excited for that Saeco 352, I think it's going to be the bees knees.

Ok, as a PSA, if @CWLONGSHOT offers to send you samples, you're getting samples! He sent me a small flat rate box PACKED full of sample bullets. I was expecting 5-10 possibly of each type, he sent 25-100 of each type!

Anyway, aside from my gratitude, I wanted to share these bullets alongside loaded cartridges and a max 2.800" OAL, some will need seated deep, some are perfect and others should be shootable as a single shot proposition.

Let me know what you all think I should load and try first, I'm thinking the Saeco 352, RCBS 360-200 and the 362-232-WFN. I could also use some thought on how to utilize that honkin 36-310. Ive never used a slick side cast bullet before.

Are you gonna conventional
Lube or powder coat?

You probably know but just reminder those as cast are fresh and will preform better a month down the road.

I used to worship that 35809 before powder coat. Powder coat made nose to fat and wouldnt chamber in my Whelen. Its been a few years since I even cast it. But I made advances in my powder coat applications so made some up for myself too. Nose measures .351 ish with one of my thin coating colors. This one is midnite blue. It has much clear and looks splochy in pic as its sharp strong scrutny. (You can see absolutely everything) But in reality its a pleasant color.

Ill try some dummies again. Love ta be able to use it again. Its taken a few deer and bears since I have owned it. I have a friend in Maine who loves it too. Conventional lube. Its been a while since I sent him some. He got those 310g last time and 230's and 270's before that. He loves that 230 WFP as well. Its taking untold head for him.

Anxious ta see what you do. Please share it. ;)
