WOW WOW WOW!!

I shot the SCR 9x45 today and that re Crowning cut group IN HALF!!!! Sub 2" with same Load that was 4-6" just the other day!!!!!!!

I loaded a ladder figuring I had changed harmonics and my 25.5 load was not best any more... BINGO!!!

Using 296, 24.8 & 25.2 loads both nearly had touching bullets while 25.5 & 25.8 both had just under 2" groups and 26.2 was too hot (extractor marks and cratered primer) and dropped 2" below POI.

The 25.2 is new load & 2095 fps. Bullet is a .355 FURY 170g SP.

Video up in few days.

Also a Hornady 165ftx bullet and H110 shot 2550 average!!!!!!!!

I am sure I have tested this @ 2360 before. I shot 44mag and 7x30 loads over same chrono and got expected velocity. Four shots, 2495, 2562, 2569 & 2557. Im gonna pull one or two randon and measure. This is a 24" barrel but still 200 fps fast??

Well,,i found out that 1680 will get me 2150fps,,with mild pressure signs, bet it will do 2200,this is with the 205 gr rcbs bullet.
Dont know as if i will feed her anymore corn though, because it opens up the groups, after 2100.
The 1680 is sucess though, high speed, nice accuracy, and still a little case capacity is left.

Lee 358-200-FN from the 35Rem at similar velocity is deadly on WTs.

1680 has been THE powder in my 357 Maxi hunting loads for decades.
26.5 under a 180 SSP has taken at least two dozen deer. Many bang flops.

Its not been as good for me in the 9x45. IIRC I ran it up to nearly 30g before I had data (using maxi as sub starting loads.) In bolt gun. I am not able to run as much powder in AR.

Im at 30 now.3140 fps av.
I didnt notice the new lyman book has 350 data.with a 180,there max is 28.5(i think),
Im 1.5 over,and 25grs heavier,with no apparent pressure signs.

One thing I found with the 350 is if there is anything that shows pressure, you are WAY over already. There seems to be no one powder that is made for this. IMR4227 is the only powder that behaves well with all bullet weights. ALL the ball powders are not safe to me. I have them all except for VV powders. It is the only powder I have not tried.

Found the upper limit of 2400,today.
21 grs only gave 2000 fps,but blew a primer,and wrecked the other 2.
Now i know where i aint going again!
18 grs is an extremely accurate load in this rifle, btw

Been there. Warned everyone 2400 peaks very FAST!!!! 19grs with the 200 is still pushing it for PSI.

Hornady has a new 150gr Interlock bullet coming out after the first of the year. I want to try that. That seems like what this round should have started with.

Neck tension test today,,,5-5 shot groups with known accuracy load,with a .352 expander. Another 5-5shot groups,with a .355 expander.
Glaringly obvious, the .352 gave noticeably tighter groups.
As a side note,i shot some of the smallest groups ever today, with this gun.my best accuracy load is 26.7 grs of v-133.all i shoot is the 200 rcbs.
This load only does about 1700fps,but its amazing!
Thought some of you might like this info.
I feel like helen keller, with this 350.aint much data out there,so i march to my own drum.

Shot a bullet size test today.
.356,.357,.358
Not alot of difference,speed wise.
But the .358 cut the es/sd,at least by half,,with 3 different loads, mild to wild.
Intresting stuff.
Accuracy still seems to be .357
Also,found out that h322,will make 1850 fps,,110%compressed.
