Have the 180 NOE WFN, conventionally lubed. My Rossi carbine likes 11.5 grains of 2400 in R/P yellow brass for 1577 fps with the 180 WFN. However the groups are 3" low at 100 yards. A load that shoots to POA, at 100yds, is 14.5 grains of H-110 (magnum primed) in Starline brass. Never ran that load over the Lab Radar but significantly faster than the 2400 loading.
Also load the Sierra 170 HP with 12.5 grains of 2400 in W-W yellow brass. Notes say 3 shots in 7/8" at 60 yards. Again, it shoots about 3" low.
Never used the Rossi on deer sized game. No need when I can just as well grab the Marlin1894 in 44 Magnum. But good to know it's an option.
