Loaded a few of these over 5.4 grains Unique in .38 Special cases and put them through my Smith 686. Boy, for an old man they shot really nice.
The down side is that I have let my supply dwindle and my old mould is a one hole Ideal that has seen a hard life. Takes for ever to get a pile of bullets! Maybe Santa will bring a two holer, maybe even a rcbs………...but probably not.

I have a 4-cavity NOE version of the #358477. It makes a big pile of 38 bullets in a small hurry.

Love it. If I had to pick only one .38cal mold ?
This would be it.
Fortunately I have a 2cav and a 4cav. Got a Friend that wants ONLY this bullet for .38 and no other.
Until it's time to shoot his Marlin 1894C, then it's #358665 Or Lee #358-158-RF.
My Marlin feeds the #359477 perfectly.

Right with ya, sir. #358477 has been my go-to 38 Special bullet for 35+ years. #358429, fine as it is, came kinda late to the party. "477" just worked so darn well. I have a couple 38 S&Ws now that get their chow poured through my fat-bodied NOE "477". These fall out at a .360"+ a tenth or three, which cleans up completely in my .359" H&I die (Colt PP) and doesn't leak in my .361" H&I (S&W RegPol). Great, accurate bullet that cuts clean in paper and anchors little/middle critters efficiently.
