Durned AR is growing on me more all the time. Shot this years deer with the 7.62x39 again. Next to no recoil, I watched the hair puff as the bullet hit and the deer jump in the scope. That trigger is sinfully good, take up the first stage, focus locked in, gently, Blap!

Now that I have a few rounds through it it functions just fine. My original plan was to have a semi-auto I could cast .30 caliber bullets for, and it does work. The XCB over 17.0 grains of 1680 shoots well enough to ding the 210 yard buffalos off the rail. I should see if the RCBS 30-150-FN will feed in it. The mould drops at .312" or maybe I'll learn to powder coat them and size them to .311" post coating.

I got blood on the carbine, it picked up a small scratch, it rides without a case in the UTV. I wiped it down with a wet sponge after opening day, slopped on some Ballistol and put it back in the safe. I hunt with a 10 round magazine in it and usually load 5 rounds and stick a spare mag with 5 rounds in my day pack. For some reason I cannot abide the idea of hunting with a 30 round mag hanging out of its belly.
