Your right! Id about guaranty my Marlin will NOT feed it. I have a NOE 180 that drops a 170 in a HP and its a revolver/ single shot only proposition. Id guess this would be same. But thats my thinking anyhow. My Savage 357 Max and 357 Revolvers.

My affection to large meplats does cause some issues in some actions.

:headscratch:I would think that large of a meplat wouldn't be accurate at longer ranges. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

If LEE made that 158 RF (125 clone) in a 175 or 180 that would probably function in a lever. But, there’s a bunch out there that will in that weight range.
When I get my Rossi back from the Smith it will be getting the attention in the cast department.

'Pendz on. It depends on how far you expect to shoot effectively and how fast you're pushing it and what your twist is and how much the taper to the nose is and how it affects things. The old saw that, "Wadcutters can't shoot beyond 50 yards.", isn't necessarily so! I'm betting it will shoot accurately, if loaded and FIT right, much, much further than many would think. I know I'm not volunteering to stand 250 yards downrange and try to catch any of them!

I shot it once to 350 yd in a 1894C . The hold over was a little tricky , front sight on the target and center the back edge apex of the barrel band in the bottom of the rear sight U . :) I was actually pleased with 1 hit on the 8" hexagonal plate . The other 10-15 hit all around within a foot or so . If I can do it .......

Holy Gawd haha, I’m definitely excited to cast it, I’m having a ( supposedly common) issue with the New Vaquero, the base pin is jumping forward every time I shoot so my gunsmith buddy that owns my LGS is fixing it now
