I have not cast with this one in over 5 years.
Why, I don't know ? ? ? As it is a great mould.
Super accurate in all the revolvers and rifles that I've ever used it in.

The bullet carry's plenty of lube for use in rifle barrels.
I have the original, the RCBS cowboy mold.
I prefer the Lyman version [358665] with it's slightly slimmer profile, or I should say my Lever rifle does at the longer distances.
I think they are all pretty good though, the basic design just works, even the Lee copy does nice work.
I liked the design so well I had Mountain Molds make a .410" 300 grain mould for my 40/50 Sharps Straight. When it hits the plywood target backer, it makes the 2X4 uprights rattle.
Have that same design in an Accurate four cavity iron.
Two of the cavities two cavities are the 158 V and two with 158 VG (gas check).
Casts like a dream. Just the other day, I cast up over 300 with a alloy that is measuring 8 BHN on a LBT tester. Will have to check them again, in a couple of weeks, to see how much harder they will get. Mine are dropping at .360+ in diameter.................that's what I asked for. I size to .360 for my Rossi carbine and .3585 for my revolvers.
That the first iron mould, I had Tom make. Now I'm spoiled.
