yeah they come in handy at times.
but not down to pokey.
Rock Springs is a different story, I could cut most of an hour off that trip.
too many cop's between here and Pokey.

With the price of all moulds rising..........even to the point of stupidity for Lee moulds. It make more sense, than ever, to buy custom. Might as well get what you pay for.

I suspect that is why Tom is slammed. Currently, his website says ten week wait. I just purchased a replacement sprue plate for one of his three cavity brass moulds. Arrived in less than one week. Original was too long, for my taste and had the optional trough................which I don't care for when ladle casting. My correspondence with Tom, told me that he didn't make that sprue plate. He apparently jobbed them out, back then.

For comparison. Top is the original spare plate. Replacement is the same configuration as the 4 cavity iron, shown.

I recently had a thought to check MP molds website for a 9mmMak mold. There is a 93gr HP in stock (11 of them). Side note: everything in 356/358 is out of stock. I haven't pulled the trigger to order that Mak mold, but that ugly RN ball shaped Lee bullet just won't seat straight...it's a tiny bit better after I polished the heck of the Lee seater die...but not good enough for me. It's either a new mold (TC style) or a new seater...A different seater may or may not help that round short stubby bullet, SO, I am leaning toward the MP mold.

Jon: maybe check around for an RCBS mold.
they have a good feeding profile and probably aren't in a real big demand.

Dang it fiver,
you sent me down a rabbit hole. 30 minutes of googleFoo and never found any info on a RCBS mold for 9m Mak?
Saeco has one, Lyman too...and NOE has a RD style with traditional LG, but all things in my mind point to MP...I really like the nose shape...BUT will the gun like it? A couple things (deals) need to happen today or tomorrow, then maybe I'll pull the trigger?

maybe they dropped it?
I know they made one back around 96-97 cause I got one sitting in the drawer.

RCBS made the 365-100-RN in 1992 because that was when I got mine. It was a limited-production/custom mould back then, and I got it from Huntington Die Specialties in Oroville, CA.

I ordered an Accurate Molds tool on 3/28. At that time the lead time was given as 9 weeks IIRC.

When I started loading 9mm I found the RN was a PITA (couldn't get them to seat straight) so changed to RNFP that works great. Wouldn't a RNFP 380 mould work? 35-95Z?

92?
Christ has it really been that long?
My youngest looked in the truck and said "is that the same jack you had at the lake (Walker Lake the kids grew up there) . That has been in your my whole life ." Yes it's the cast "motor" section jack . No it hasn't been around his whole life , just since he was about 2 . That was only back in 92' , he's 33 in August .......... How I feel you .

Thanks, with the numbers I was actually able to find it on a list on the other site, but it didn't pop up anywhere else on google.
As soon as another deal I'm working on happens, and I end up with a pocket full of cash, I will just order the MP.

That RCBS mould is the only one I've used in the Makarov. It has a very blunt RN form (like a lot of the commersh bullets for the 9 x 18 Mak do) because the cartridge max OAL is the same as that of the 380 ACP it plagiarizes--.984".

Nice! Looks like it will do the job!

CZ what diameter did you request, and were you looking for PC or regular lubes?

I hope you will bring load results in the next couple of weeks.
