I stopped at a Lowe's in south Huntsville this afternoon.
An older gentleman pulled up in this 1927 Studebaker.
I asked if I could get a few photos.
He acted thrilled that I wanted the photos.

Almost 100 yrs old now and still going.
I wonder if a new car they sell today will go 100 yrs ?

Roy Chapman Andrews drove Studebaker cars and Dodge trucks for years looking for dinosaurs in Mongolia in the 1910's and 1920's. When money is no object, you got the best for the purpose.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
I bet the car has undergone some serious restoration and that some parts are NLA. Lovely old thing though. Watched a documentary on Studebaker. IIRC they did worse trying to appeal to the low$$$ side of the equation and sell lotsa cars than they did when they stuck with the high $$$ side and built really good stuff. Weird.

In the early years they had to compete with a guy that was selling a car in any color you want as long as it's black that cost the same at a dealer/store ready to run as it did one piece at a time from the sundry .
