Bersa 380

Yes, Just got it a month or so ago and have probably put 500 hundred rounds through it already. I like the double stack grip and the SA trigger is good, if I remember right mine breaks with just a little creep at 3-3.5 pounds. The only issue I had was with my reloads, sometimes it would take multiple hits to set off a round. I'm still using up my old stock of Tula (sp?) russian primers and have heard they have hard cups. I bought a PPK hammer spring set from wolfe and replace the stock spring with I believe an eighteen pound spring (the heaviest in the set) and the problem went away. This was with reloads only, factory always fired fine. I added a laser to it and really like it, first time for me. https://www.lasersightpro.com/produ...aser-sight-for-bersa-thunder-380-plus-pistols
Mags were a little hard to get at first but they seem to be in the pipeline again.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
I've never heard anything specifically bad about them. As a guy who likes Star and Astra brand items, I wouldn't be too scared of trying one. Most of the "B grade" guns out there perform pretty good.

My wife has a bersa thunder. 380. We have had it about 10 years now. Shot it not a lot, maybe 800 rounds. It chokes on steel cased ammo but has never failed with anything else.

Seems to be a solid little gun. I have a mold and everything but haven’t gotten to loading for it yet. I reckon I should.

The only gripe I have with the Bersa 380 is that the grips act as stops, or shims for a couple things. The mag catch lever for one. The grips prevent excessive outward walking of the pin.
Played heck with wife's back in the C19 days, when they almost went completely out, of business, and no repair warranty centers would take them.
Finaly figured out it was the Factory option, crimson trace Lazer grips. They were out of spec. Allowing the pin to float out too far, and the gun to hang up and jam.
Finally just fixed it myself, with some plastic JB weld and a file. Then the company bounced back. I finally got an answer to my 2year old e mail. A repair order #, along with a gunsmiths address to send it too.
Told them too late, I already fixed it.

Besides that it has been a great gun. In all fairness they did get back in touch with me and offer to honer their warranty, once they got their crap back together.
We have put about 800 rounds thru it, 300 of them cast. Since it's initial problem got fixed. No an issue one. Very accurate for a 380. Beats my lcp flat out for accuracy.
