I have had one since H.S. late 1960's. Bought it new, pretty beat up. Thinking about getting a reprint from Cornellpublications.com if they offer it.

I acquired a copy some years ago, most of the pages were in pretty good shape, but the spline was shot.
I wasn't able to get any new splines with the same spacing...leave it to Lyman to use some obscure spacing, LOL...just like their screws.
I have a puncher for the standard size splines, It's a big thing, I acquired that from a company I use to work for, when they quit using it, they threw it away, I dug it out of the dumpster. Anyway, there is enough blank space in the pages to make a new set of holes. The few pages and foldout poster got reinforced with clear tape before punching them. almost good as new, but if there is any collector value, I'm pretty sure I wrecked those numbers with the black spline ...although, I can say I have a ONE OF A KIND, LOL.

Larger is especially nice as I get older. I expect if I live another 20yrs, I'll want them to be the size of a 1950's newspaper.

About a dozen years ago, I went on a collecting binge of old Ideal/Lyman manuals had bought one of each all the way back to the mid-20s. There were not expensive then, about 10 -15 bucks each with some much cheaper.

Reading the old Ideal manuals was one of the things that began my investigation into old reloading tools. Which lead me to a new group of collectors that have become good friends.

I appreciate the "Heads Up" on the Lyman manual reprints available via Cornell Publications. I just ordered the 1958 and 1973 editions.
