Thank goodness the family in Fultondale, AL ( about 25 miles from my home ) heard the Tornado Warning ( and F-2) and took it seriously.

They went to the basement.
Good that they did.

That is scary as h--l. Are these Trevor's folks?

Allen,

Not related to us, but only about 30 miles away.
Today they arrested people from TN that had driven down here to loot and steal in the area.
Wish you were down here, I know you'd cuff them and get their sorry butts onto jail.

Ben--I am some years past pursuing such low-life for a living, but wouldn't mind a re-start in unpaid/amateur status as needed. Looters are just a half-notch above 'child molester' and 'serial killer' on my hierarchic classification of human abominations.

.......and they don't all come from long distances away to do their looting. There are always enough local vermin to keep one busy.

I worked the 2011 tornadoes N of Huntsville. Had looters. Worked a bunch since. Last one I worked were the ones in S AL/S GA. I got there the next evening. We actually ran into looters on the house I was looking at to work the next day. I do not go into those arenas unarmed.

I LIVED North of Huntsville for a spell many years ago. Grew up in Ohio and got to feeling bold having been missed by tornadoes so often. Scariest damned thing I ever saw in my life was the sky over Huntsville one afternoon when the neighbor, a local girl came banging on the door hollering "we gotta go, we gotta go!" We piked into her car and headed to her folks place, who had a basement. I've never seen anything like the skies that afternoon. No tornadoes touched down, but I'll never forget that.

My wife is a native. They scare the snot out of me, regardless. Been around a few. BUT - when SHE is THAT girl, and says "it looks bad," I am terrified!
