I here I was just starting to get over the jealousy engendered by your ability to make decent black powder. Now this!

Human liquid waste has been used for ages for practical "good purposes". I have "odorized" 2 stroke engines to cool them off, frozen tools, a lock or two. It works and is normally readily available.
Hey Rick... when you get it done it is all your's. My 1st MZ (mine, not dad's) was a kit I purchased in Frankfurt at that huge PX. When I shed the "pickle suit" go out my Buck 101 and started whittling. Browned the barrel and iron. Black walnut stain. No work of art but corn crunchers never knew the difference.

I forgot to post this target from a few weeks ago, this was the winning (and unchallenged ) 50 yard entry in "offhand smoothbore rifle" class at the spring TMLRA match. Glad nobody showed up with a percussion longrifle equipped with front and rear sights as allowed by the class or I wouldn't have had a chance with this sub-four-pound tinker toy in the 30 mph wind. I shot the 8-yard trap match but 5/8 ounce of #7-1/2 shot from a cylinder bore just couldn't get it done on the fast trap targets with me behind the trigger and taking over a second to get the shots off. We figured the pellets were getting to the targets at about 35-45 yards and I only broke one out of 15. The one hit bird only cracked in two. Shot a clay hanging on the patterning board at 40 yards three times before it broke.

Yeah, I jerked one high left and fudged my group but it still scored six points, I'll take it.

Yes, patched round ball. Spit for lube, this gun won't hit the target with anything more slick.

Yeah, don't you have those too?
not here, I didn't think they ventured north of the Canadian River

I have one of those barrels inlet into a cherry precarved stock, one of too many projects. Oh, if anyone needs one or more of those barrels already milled octagon and fitted with a breechplug (by Bobby Hoyt), I have several
