Hollywood Senior Tool

I bought this about 6 months ago, and now I need to sell some stuff to pay for a couple of unforeseen expenses.
I'm hoping that I can get some help to answer the inevitable questions, so here goes:
1. Are the shell holders readily available (I see references to C-H shellholders fitting - true or not?).
2. It's got a bolt in the center on top, that's loose. What might the function of that be? Is it possible to find a turret, and replace the single stage top with a turret?
3. Is the primer seater available, or will one from another source fit?
4. This one is obviously aluminum, but I've seen some that say they're steel/iron. Is there a substantial difference in value between the two?
5. Am I missing anything else of note?

Thanks in advance for any help!

C&H fit and I have box of them, what do you need? they will be cheap (Thanks Jeff H.)
The nut holds the top piece on the post, no you can not put a turret on it.
Some C&H presses fit, and I have some of those also.
The aluminum ones are more valuable, as who wants to pay extra freight for nothing. The iron ones are stronger if they were made to swage jacketed bullets.
The top nut is modified to hold an arm to put a powder measure off to the side.

C-H sells an adaptor shell holder that allows the use of conventional snap in shell holders, like the RCBS style. It's what I use on my Senior Turret. Also storing, an extra shell holder in the hole in the turret, that is there for installing the swaging rod. I don't prime on the Hollywood. Therefore, plugged the threaded hole, with a set screw brass nut.

Not sure if you can convert a single to a turret. Your linkage looks quite a bit different.

Hi,
That is a Hollywood Senior Press...

They came in Cast Iron and Aluminum. (Steel Post/Shaft)

I saw a bar that was attached at the top and held a Powder Measure, if that was the Maker's intention, I do not know???

I just sold 2, one just like it, on the Bay. (Aluminum)

Maybe Pressman will stop in, he would know, of course!

Why not Ric?
Could the turret be custom machined?
Shell holder centerline is different on the Seniors and the turrets. Sold all of mine so can't measure, but you may be able to make a custom one and design a position stop that would work.

Thanks for all of the replies!
Ric, I might have a couple of the C-H shell holders somewhere around here, but if I can't find them, I'll get back with you.
The question about swapping it to a turret style was mostly spitballing with reference to the bolt in the top - it seemed unusual, and I hadn't thought about attaching another tool (powder measure) to it.
seagiant, I don't do eBay, so I would appreciate it if you could PM me what kind of price this might bring - no problem if you think I'm out of line in asking, and don't want to respond.

I have the same press as Winelover's, except mine does not have the set screws for each die. My turret is crinkle painted on the sides.
Is my Hollywood Senior Turret older or newer than Winelover's, or did you drill the set screws yourself?

As far as I know, it's totally original. Press was purchased by my BIL's father, prior to 1970, when he died in a motorcycle accident. It was set up to reload 12 gauge, exclusively. Came with the dies and two Hollywood powder measures and two Hollywood shot measures. Sat unused in their basement, till I bought it, about 15 years ago. What's unique is the plum colored (steel) turret.

Thanks for the reply. After looking at your press closer, I see it has the larger diameter holes with inserts for smaller rifle/pistol sized dies.
My press has the smaller diameter holes for regular rifle/pistol dies.

Yeppers, set screws lock in the adaptor bushings. All eight holes are for 1.5" dies. Press came with four Hollywood blued bushings. I purchased the others, from CH industries. Along with the shell holder adaptor and the red plastic handle cover.
