Most recently my son 10year old got his 3rd deer in as many seasons 2 with 30-30 and a 135 grain hp from M&P molds the third one was with my 308 in which he crossed paths with the most unlucky deer on earth. He took aim on a doe and missed but brained a yearling that had yet to enter the field 40 yards beyond his target doe.
My 17 year old daughter has taken 2 deer and several hogs with cast 44 magnum carbine and 308! The evening she got her spike we saw 5 bucks, 3 doe, 12 turkey, coon, and a coyote
