Like all of us that are getting older and our bodies are wearing out. My Rotor Cup that I dislocated a year ago. Has gotten bad enough that I finally have to have it fixed. So on 2/1 I have to go under the knife again. An if it is like last time. I am going to loose 4 months of doing anything with 2 hands.

Kevin, I had Rotator Cuff surgery a few years ago and the hardest part of recovery is the Physical Therapy after surgery. I was back to work full time with no restrictions in 6 weeks. There's one thing I can guarantee and that's when they do the surgery they WILL find more than the Rotator Cuff to work on. My shoulder needed a Bicep Tendon release; S.L.A.P. (Labrum repair), and they left 7 little screws in the head of the Humerous. Without all that other stuff, you'll be ready to go in a month. Good luck with the surgery.

Kev, good luck with the surgery. I have never had to have it, although my cuff's have been sore off and on for the last 10yrs and I have really pampered them to try to prevent it...so far, it has worked. I have several friends that have had it done and it does work...just got to get through that therapy. Prayer sent for a speedy recovery.

Shoulder surgeries can be tough to rehab. Had my right shoulder worked on over a year ago. My left shoulder is approaching needed attention. Just stay positive and push forward in your rehab. You get out what you put in. Getting the nerve block helps for pain after surgery. Good luck and a speedy recovery!

dang.
when I was a sprinkler fitter it was common to see one of the guy's in the shop all slung up on light duty from a rotator cuff injury.
I guess all the pushing and pulling took it's toll.

Good luck with the recovery. Don't forget that a handgun can be fired with one hand!

Mmmmm, my shoulder is getting worn out on the right side. Don't think I'm anywhere near ready for surgery yet. Best of luck on a speedy recovery.

I'm with Gary.

I had rotator cuff surgery back in 2013 in my right shoulder. They found more damage than they thought and had to do a little extra work.

Took five weeks of rehab, but I was playing golf after four weeks (just not very well). It took longer than that for me to fire a heavy recoil rifle without pain.

It took two years for me to get ALL my flexibility back, but it was worth it.

It hurt everyday before surgery and I had trouble sleeping. Forgot what is was like to not have any pain.

Now I'm pain free and life is great!

Don't worry, they will get you fixed up and as good as new. Just don't try to push the rehab too much. It takes a little time to heal.

Good luck. Had both done, and it SUCKS! Nearly had to have R one replaced... You will feel better and sleep better when it is over. As a buddy told me, they will never br "right" again - I still can't lift heavy things over my head out in front of my body - but they sure are better then they were before repair.
