Lachmiller case saver ????

Because my other mental exercises aren't enough to keep me both wishing for a lathe and an extra 15-20k .......

The big question is did the Lachmiller case saver come in .410 or 10 ga ? If so is there a snowballs chance of finding one or parts , with the 410 being closer to a "needed" tool ?

The sizer ring is just a 1×12 (eyeball) threaded bushing and there's a 3/8 bolt for the decapping ball (easy baling wire duct tape agrogineering work out) the collet shell holder though ......

More .......maybe not ...... practical here just build a sizer ring for the 410 and a decapping pin with an adapter to replace the collet case holder with a fixed or universal shell holder.

I know with the right buyer for the 2 and 3/4s complete presses I could finance the MEC 650 parts for the conversion from a 12 to 410 but one of them is an heirloom of sorts . I don't need them in 12 ga , it's not practical to work one out for 10-15 rounds of 2-9/16 10 ga .
It just seems a shame to waste a tool if it will do the thing you need done .

I would be using it primarily for 303 to 410 cases but I I have a few plastic cases also and there's the likely possiblity of other brass cases being adapted.......
I hate these $10 solutions to $200 problems that only cost a guy $2000 to fix himself .

Yep, the original Redding press with much heavier "C" arms and handle.
Shame it has a .992 major dia thread . I guess it'd have been bad for that .710 ring with a .875 major dia ......

Well armed with new knowledge maybe I'll see if I can make a 12Ga 1 and 3/4 fer 1 for a complete 410 swap . Knowing my luck they only made 135 of them in 20 yr of production and the one I find will be iridium plated platinum coated milled prototype SN# 0005 the very first 410 .......
