Lee Commercial Mould Handles

Sintered steel is difficult to drill accurately and pins work loose eventually dur ti weather and heat cycling.

I use Permatex Copper RTV silicone, the ultra high-temp stuff. All new handles get pulled off and glued on before the first use. This is not because I beat on them but because I once sent a $$ custom mould to the bottom of the quench bucket along with the handle tangs from a virgin set.

I bought a set from red river rick years back thinking 35 bucks was ungodly, but I'm sure glad I have them.
those ones from big bore sound like the ticket though, I have no issue spending double for a good set of handles especially when they line up, and are built out of real metal.

Well I am very happy with LEE handles At under $20. The short comings are easily rectified. The other brands of handles are certainly nice, but, when I can get 2 for the price of 1, it allows me to not be playing musical handles all the time.

Since there were concerns earlier that the mould handles may not fit , I tried the 2 new sets that you see in the 1st post on a wide variety of moulds . They fit like a glove.

The two sets I bought a couple months back work great on the old Ideal small blocks and the 2 cavities too. I haven't had any issue with them fitting the few molds I have.
